OMG not the good way

The first thing is i found a decent car, but it needed tires, so McCloskey said they were going to help me out, they did this by adding 17.00 per month more to my loan (1152,00 without the interest for 72 months. My tires of choice less than 1k with everything but they would give ma couple of oil changes. Finance told me they were giving me a 2 year 24000 mile warranty, this was no gift 1233.00 added to loan. Once i realized about the extended warranty, i did decide it was a good deal. Told me i could not get the 4k trade because of the tires and on and on. I have owned this vehicle for 4 days but i dont have it yet but being charged the interest.. The only thing good about the experience, young Grant Hudgpeth who looking at seems to work to death and they say they will call but dont. SAVE YOURSELF THE GRIEF, I WOULD RATHER WALK, BUS ETC. Hope god will get them, will never go back, recomend over my cold dead body

Sold me a car with a faulty clutch

At the time I test drove the 2011 Jetta TDI everything was fine. Then after two weeks the clutch started to go, along with multiple electrical features. The trunk pops open for no reason, the low tire alert light won't go off even though the tires are filled to spec, the air conditioning automatically turns on when you turn on the fan, even if it's on the heater. Then the car started to smoke and smelled like burning oil. The service tech told me I didn't know how to drive a clutch, even though I've been driving VW manual transmissions since I was 14, and that's why the clutch went out and the smoking from leaking oil was caused by the clutch (???WHAT???) and of course nothing was covered by a warranty. He quoted an outrageous $2400 just to fix the clutch. This dealership rips people off, charges too much for used cars with obvious problems, charges for warrantees that cover nothing then blame the purchaser for everything wrong.

Tride to take advantage of my mom!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
My mom went in with a clutch that was no longer working. They told her she would need a whole new clutch for $1700 and showed her a vehicle to purchase instead. After pressuring her for the deal that night, I convinced her to leave. She found a new mechanic that said it wasnt in need of a whole new clutch after all, fixed it and only charged $600. Im very dissapointed and will never shop from or use their auto shop in the future.

824 miles into a car with a 60k warranty ac lines are damaged by serpentine belt because the car had a front end collision and bent the ac lines. The dealership could care less and offered nothing. Screw this dealership.

Ugh! Horrible experience

1. First, they lured us in with a vehicle and promised credit after the initial on-line application (the car was there) 2. Then the salesman was pushy! 3. Finance Manager, Josh, is RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL 4. Sales Manager decided that assigning the salesman to harass me every 48 hours would somehow help the IRS move faster with the tax refund 5. Communication with these people was very unprofessional and inappropriate, both written and verbal 6. The car we had held with a considerable down payment was finally made available. It had been driven and was filthy 7. The car was damaged during the time that it was held and unsafe to drive when it came home, thus necessitating another trip to the dealership WITHOUT CUSTOMERS THERE IS NO BUSINESS!!!!

I made the mistake of requesting a quote for a truck I saw on Facebook. This was almost a month ago and I get at least two calls per day from their salespeople whom cannot take no for an answer. It is very annoying and harrassing to the point where I am filing a complaint wuth CSPD.

Very upset about being intentionally lied to.

The vehicle I was driving prior to my visit was having issues. I took it into McCloskey Motors via a tow truck after having a chat with someone there on line to make sure that the $4000 at least for my trade, any make or condition was still going on.

I was assured it was and my fiancee and I followed the tow truck Friday Aug. 25th (last week). We specifically told the sales man that we wanted to take advantage of the trade money for our next purchase. He told us there were 60 cars or so on the lot that the deal qualified for.

We had to finish the purchase sat. morning, but when we when start signing papers I questioned the employee about the$4000. He, the dealer, and the manager all told me that the bank did not want to qualify our loan with our trade in. So we were not getting the money we could take our trade home.

Because we do not otherwise have a vehicle I felt slightly trapped. I do so far like the car, but the bank called me this morning to verify information. They confirmed what I thought, they have nothing to do with trade ins. Yet the employees we dealt with were adsimit that it was because we had to deal with that bank, and we do not have conventional income documents (w-2s), that the bank is who decided they will not take our trade and that the bank is who raised prices when they did take trades.

Which is why you could only use the money on specific cars. They also told us that no matter where we went we would get the same problem. Another issue is because we did not have more for the down payment the interest rate is ridiculous. This is only the the third car I have ever financed (I am 40), but it is over 20% APR.

Again considering our unconventional incomes documents I can slightly understand that about the bank. But its really sad a local company around as long as McCloskeys has miss advertised like that.

They sold me a Ford Focus 2013 That Had Transmission Recall . They lies and said the gas needed adjusted for fuel efficiency. They lied. There was a recall on the transmission which needed I couldn't even get a part to fix it from Ford. After 14 months of driving a defective vehicle I sold it. They saw a desperate single mom and took advantage and sold me there worst car on their lot. This business is a rip off Avoid it like the plague

Asking price rip off

After the run around to get a price on an 8 year old truck with 95k miles, was given a price nearly $5,000 over KBB and NADA retail values. Total rip-off!! I initially thought that the salesman must just be trying to rip me off, and that his price was just fishing to see what I'd be willing to pay. A follow email from the "internet manager" justified the asking price, but did not even address the KBB and NADA values. Don't trust them! Do your research! They do not take care of their customers! They'll take as much as they can from them! Push pull or drag is a GIMMICK, the *** on the tv commercial is a liar, the establishment employees are liars, The commercial states mccloskey will pay you 4000 for your trade NO MATTER WHAT CONDITION, I drove my 2001 subaru there to trade in on a vehicle that was 20k after 3 hrs of torment AT THE CLOSING TABLE AS USUAL, I WAS TOLD they would only give me 1500 for my trade, Not 4000, typical *** say anything to get you in the door, then mess with your head for 3hrs, and then renig on the 4000 trade in . Woulden,t reccomend them to my worst enemy.

Very good experience!

I saw their ad on Facebook and called to find out what they had available. I made an appointment and saw Ray, a sales manager, and I saw Austin, a sales consultant and then saw Denver. All the salesman work very good and work well with me. Denver put me in a Mazda 3. Very nice little car. I would recommend friends to go there.

McCloskey Motors - Customer Care Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I went in to help a friend purchase a vehicle. This was the worst experience I've ever had in purchasing a car. It took one hour for them to even acknowledge us and then we sat with the salesman,he asked questions and then disappeared for a while, not explaining any options for vehicles just went directly to financing. The salesman was actually very nice it was the upper management who wouldn't even give us their last name. I've never experienced such a rude and unprofessional store manager or finance department manager...nothing was explained at all. Ethen the finance guy made a scene in front of the entire sales floor and none of our questions were answered, this along with the "store manager" who wouldn't even provide his name. We were treated like low credit second class people. Shamica the receptionist, completely ignored us when we asked the name of the manager. She got on the phone instead and placed a personal phone call, all the while her son was running around the sales floor with another customers child. The worst part was the unprofessionalism and not being treated like a valued customer. We weren't greeted by the receptionist because she was too busy bringing her kid to work. Mr. or Mrs. McCloskey if you are reading this, your staff could use some empathy training, because your commercials make it seem like you care and value family and customer experience and we did not receive that at all. I've purchased new vehicles before, and sure there's a wait, but never had we experienced such rudeness and "back talk".

Awesome Experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have no clue why people are complaining the way they are, accept perhaps they are competitors who frankly should be legally shut down. From the moment my son and I walked onto the sales floor, working with a great young man Andrew O'Connor as our sales representative all the way through financing we had no snags of any kind. In the past working with New and Used dealerships there were always snags and games, but not at McCloskey. I am a 80 yrar old lady who know alot about business and McCloskey should be a model for all car dealerships. They set the Bar high as far as Professionalism and Customer satisfaction. Thank you Joe, Andrew, anf everyone at McCloskey I will recommend you to everyone. E.H.
